Save the environment, and save some gas money.
WHEN DO I NEED A SMOG?
Smog’s are performed every 2 years on a vehicle to ensure that the vehicle meets the emission requirements of the state of California. New vehicles are exempt from smog for the first 6 years. Smog’s measure(in most cases), 4 gases from your tailpipe as well as approximately 20 visual/functional inspections , which your vehicle is required to pass in order to get registered. If the vehicle does not pass the Smog Inspection, for any reason, we specialize in making sure that the vehicle is properly diagnosed, and repaired, to facilitate your registration process.
SIGNS OF A COMPROMISED EMISSION SYSTEM:
- Vehicle has drivability issues
- Your “Check Engine Light” is on
- There is excessive tailpipe smoke from the vehicle
- Vehicle consumes more fuel than it should
- Vehicle has an exhaust leak in the engine compartment
- Vehicle fails the Smog Inspection

A smog inspection is one of the best methods to determine the current status of your emission system. If your vehicle is found to have an insufficient emission system, the method to reverse the state of the vehicle is to Diagnose the issue with a pantheon of tests, evaluating the vast number of components present in the emission system determining what parts are not functioning properly. By testing the components we know what is wrong with the vehicle in order to make sure you get the right repair done every time, so you can be back on the road, registered, and helping the environment with your more fuel efficient vehicle
